Certificate of Authenticity

What is it? Why do I want one?
LionsHead Gallery's Certificate of Authenticity contains important
information about your artwork. It describes your newly acquired artwork and shows a photo of it. Should any questions about the artworks authenticity arise, in dealing with theft or damage, this is your proof of ownership. You should keep it in a safe place with other valuable documents and give a copy to your insurance company.
1. An image of the artwork for which the COA represents.
2. The details about the artwork. This should include:
The name of the artist
The title of the artwork
The dimensions of the art piece
Date of the work
The type of artwork that is a: painting, sculpture, glass art, pottery, original, or reproduction, etc.
If the type of work is a reproduction, there will be an edition number
3. A signature area for the artist to sign and date the certificate.
4. The LionsHead Gallery Certificate of Authenticity Identification Code.
